Please use the registration information to the right. » Issue - January 2013 Editorial  The HICARE Symposium 2012 is now behind us: the two eventful days of working intensively in Rostock provided an excellent opportunity to see the overall state of the various, multi-faceted activities in our project-oriented alliance. The impression is quite positive. We’ve made quite a bit of progress on our chosen path, which agrees with the estimate we received from the scientific advisory committee, who have been evaluating the project’s activities. The first milestone of setting a project as complex as HICARE into motion has been completed. However, we still have a lot of work before us. The New Year also marks the halfway point of the project’s life. The momentum that has been built must now be put to use. Putting the insights and concepts developed as part of the HICARE project into practice and refining them together with the participating institutes will have special importance.
